WORLD BOOK DAY
Pupils across the school gathered this morning to celebrate World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite book character. The pupils and indeed parents had gone to a lot of effort to create a very enjoyable and exciting day in school for all the children. Key Stage 2 pupils came together and linked up with other NI schools through a streamed live link with EATV, where pupils explored pupil interviews and reviews of the top books currently available. Younger pupils were treated to a visit from a parent Mrs Duggan on Wednesday, who kindly read to our younger pupils and discussed the importance and value of reading.
The Student Council convened at lunch time to award prizes for the character that stood out in each class. A £5 prize voucher for our upcoming Book Fair on the 18th April will be awarded to the lucky pupils during assembly on Friday.
Well done one and all for such a big effort today. Have a look at the pupil photographs.
