Today the children celebrated World Book Day! Everyone was asked to dress up as their favourite book character and they didn't disappoint! The costumes on display were fantastic and it was obvious that a great deal of effort went into preparing the children for the day.
To mark this special occasion the children took part in many activities throughout the day including a fancy dress parade in the hall to see all the other boys and girls dressed up.
The P4-7 children worked with a Poet called Niamh McNally who came to our school to give us a masterclass in creating our own poems. There was some lovely work produced today. Thank you Niamh, we hope you enjoyed World Book Day with us.
The celebrations will continue tomorrow with a local author and a storyteller coming in to speak to the children!
