Primary 4-5 are WORLD RECORD BREAKERS! Largest Poetry Lesson Success!

8th Mar 2025

We have some truly amazing news to share! Our Primary 4-5 class has officially made history by participating in and contributing to the Guinness World Record for the largest poetry lesson ever held!

That's right! Our pupils, alongside hundreds of other children from schools across the world, successfully broke the world record, demonstrating their passion for poetry and their incredible collective effort.

An official checker for Guinness World Records said that 500 schools and 43,516 children were verified as part of the official record.

They also said that more than 125,000 students from more than 1,000 schools took part in the lesson in total, but many did not meet the strict rules for the record to count.

Our P4-5 class were not just participants, they were world record holders!

What did our record-breaking P4-5 class achieve?

  • They joined a massive, live, interactive poetry lesson.
  • They actively engaged with poetic techniques and styles.
  • They crafted and shared their own poems, showcasing their individual creativity.
  • They were a vital part of a team effort that resulted in a new Guinness World Record!

This remarkable achievement highlights:

  • The power of literacy and creativity: Our children have shown the world their ability to express themselves through the art of poetry.
  • The strength of community: They joined with others to achieve a common goal.
  • The creation of a truly unforgettable memory: They will forever be able to say they are world record holders.
  • The potential within each child: They have shown that they can achieve amazing things when they work together.

We are immensely proud of our P4-5 class for their outstanding achievement. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and participation have made them a part of history. We hope this experience will inspire them to continue exploring the world of language and creativity.
