Michael J Murphy Winter School Weekend
Congratulations to our P5 to P7 pupils who have been involved in celebrating Michael J Murphy Winter School by showcasing a wealth of art and drama over recent days. From early September P6 pupils have been rehearsing a play based on Seamus Keating's script about The Caliberra and Finn Mc Cool. Mr Keating was the Principal of St Oliver Plunketts at one time, so it was fitting to have pupils so heavily involved in the creation of the piece. The play was recorded and showcased to the public today, in conjunction with 3 other neighbouring schools.
P5 pupils had been working with local artists and created wonderful pieces of artwork that were on display, while some P7 pupils had been delving into their own rich histories and spent a great deal of time creating amazing videos focusing on how their ancestors lived locally. These were showcased on Thursday night in Ti Chulainn.
It has been a fantastic experience for all the pupils. Thoroughly enjoyed by all. Congratulations boys and girls.
