Maths Week 2017
Even though we missed two days due to Storm Ophelia, we had three very successful days. The aim of the week was for all of the children to experience maths activities in a range of practical ways. All strands of the Northern Ireland Curriculum for Numeracy were covered throughout the week - Number, Measure, Shape and Space, Data Handling and Problem Solving and investigations.
As an extra treat, Mr Hannaway and the Primary 7’s attended DKIT for a cross border maths workshop with schools from Dundalk. Mrs McKenna and the Primary 4’s saw some real life maths when they went to Slieve Gullion Credit Union to celebrate International Credit Union Day.
Well done to all the boys and girls for taking part in Maths Week.
